Sometimes the student's certificate may not show up on the My Achievements tab as expected. In this case, there is an easy first step that teachers and admins can take to re-process the certificate and send the data to Greenlight Locker.
On the edit screen of each student's account, there is a button labeled "Synchronize Greenlight Information".
This button can be used when a student has earned their certificate, but has not seen a link on the My Achievements page yet. This button is available to all admins who have access to the student's account. It triggers a process which ensures that any earned certificates are processed by Greenlight. The process takes up to 30 minutes.
Before using the button, please be sure:
- The student has actually earned the certificate (a score of 90 on both stages AND a passing essay grade for English).
- The student logged out and waited at least 15 minutes after earning the certificate to visit the My Achievements page and there was still no link available.
Admin Steps
When you are ready to synchronize Greenlight data, here are the admin steps:
- Log into Texas College Bridge.
- Click on the "Manage" tab.
- Use the on-screen filters to locate the student's account.
- Click the "Edit" icon for the student's account.
- You will see the screen below. Click on the "Synchronize Greenlight Information" button.
- There is no need to click "Save".
- WAIT 30 MINUTES. Then tell the student to check for their certificates on the My Achievements page. If they check in less than 30 minutes, the process may not have completed yet.
Problem Was Not Solved?
If this does not solve the problem with the student's certificate, then the student needs to contact EdReady technical support for direct assistance. We are not able to troubleshoot a student's certificate issue with their instructor.
