Pilot Teacher Accounts

Any teachers/ staff supporting students in the Test Prep Pilot will also need accounts in the platform, just like those supporting the TCB College Prep program. 

If someone does not have an account yet, Create their User Account.

Once an account exists, you want to edit their viewing permissions: 

• Edit a user's account: 
  • After logging into Texas College Bridge, Click the Manage Account button. You will land on the Groups tab: click on the Admins tab (all non-students are Admins in EdReady)
  • Click the Edit icon for the user you want to update
• Ensure users have access to the Test Prep goals they'll be supporting: 
  1. Follow the steps above to Edit a user's account, then
  2. Click on the user's Groups tab, then click the Edit admin goals button
     
  3. The available goals for your ISD will be listed here: click the arrow icon () to expand the goals list
  4. Ensure that the checkbox is selected for the TSI Preparation goals. Remember: each subject (Math/ English) has 2 goals that need to be selected: a Study Path goal and a Tests goal.
  5. Be sure to click the Save button
     
• Ensure users have access to any Test Prep sections: 
  Note: before applying sections to a user's account, the district or school administrator must set up sections for your ISD. If there are no sections listed, then this step has not been completed. You can find more details here: Manage Class Sections.
  1. Follow the steps above to edit the user's account, then:
  2. Click on the user's Categories tab
  3. If you don't see a Section listed here, click the Create new category button
  4. Select Section: English or Section: Math from the dropdown menu, then click the Next button
  5. To add a section assignment, click the Create Value button 
  6. Select the section from the dropdown menu, then click the Save button
     
  7. If the user's section assignment changes, you can delete () the assigned value.
  8. If the users needs to be mapped to different or additional Sections, click Create Value again and repeat steps d & e above.

IMPORTANT! If you limit a user's access to sections in BOTH subjects (i.e., assign at least one section in the Section: English AND Section: Math categories), they will only see students who have BOTH sections selected (i.e., one from each category). This is restrictive and may result in a teacher seeing no students at all. If you have users who are supporting students both subjects. consider the options explained in Staff Supporting Multiple Subjects (Math and English).
