Assignment Overview
In addition to reaching the target score in their EdReady study path, students will need to complete an essay assignment. For your reference, you can view the assignment and the grading rubric.
In order to conditionally enroll in a reading/writing-met course at a Texas post-secondary institution, the student needs to earn a C or better on the essay portion of the TX College Bridge. The essay must include:
- A minimum of four (4) paragraphs – intro, two (2) body, conclusion;
- A minimum of five (5) sentences in each paragraph
Completing the Assignment

Grading the Essay
Teachers will be notified when a student has completed their essay: you will be able to read, comment on, and grade the essay directly from inside of EdReady.
