Overview
EdReady is designed to be a self-paced personalized learning platform. While students can work at any speed, they may need guidance from their instructor to ensure they are progressing each week and are on pace to complete the program. Key Student Data
Score details:
There are several columns that include score details (Initial Diagnostic Score, Most Recently Updated Score, Score Gain, and Target Score). These details can be used to determine if the student is on pace towards reaching their target score. Instructors should to determine the difference between their current score (Most Recently Updated Score) and the Target Score: how much progress should this student make this week to ensure they complete the course in time to earn their certificate?
Topic mastery
Encourage students to focus on the material they plan to learn versus the score improvement alone: as they master more topics, their score will automatically increase. How many topics should each student master this week to remain on track? There are several useful pieces of information in this report to guide that effort:
- # topics in scope (in report header): the total number of topics in the study path
- Calculate the number of topics this student has mastered by adding the # topics mastered initially and # topics mastered through study
- # topics mastered last week: shows how many topics the student mastered within the last calendar week (midnight Sunday through 11:59pm Saturday, GMT)
Next Steps
Instructors should reach out to their students at the start of each week to review their progress in the past week and to begin a conversation about what they will work on this week. We recommend letting them know how many topics you think they should aim to master in the coming week: it would be a helpful exercise to ask the student to identify the specific topics they plan to focus on.
