Unusual browser behavior like this is typically related to bad data in the browser's cache so the following steps should resolve it.
Here are the steps that clear up most issues:
- Clear the browser's cache and cookies, being sure to use the "for all time" setting. (You can google "clear cache [browsername]" for instructions.) You do not need to clear saved passwords or history.
- Reboot the device before trying again. You may need the school's IT staff to assist with cache clearing to be sure it's done correctly and completely.
- If that does not fix the problem, try a completely different browser. Try Chrome, Firefox, or the device's default browser. Do not use Internet Explorer. This does not have to be a permanent switch, but it can help with moving forward for now.
- Update the browser to the latest version. (For iOS and Chromebook devices, the operating system must be updated.)
If the issue doesn't clear up, contact support. Be sure to include a high-resolution screenshot of the entire page where the problem occurs, including the web address (URL) at the top of the browser. Describe in detail what you are clicking on just before seeing the problem.
