General Setup
The math and English material have been broken out into two goals:
Study Paths
- Each main component (outlined here) is available as a study path.
- Like in TCB College Prep, students will begin with an initial diagnostic.
- After completing the diagnostic, a study path will be generated. It will include any material the student did not answer correctly on the initial assessment, as well as material that has not been tested directly yet.
- The target score for each study path is set to 100, which means that students will only see the on-screen Congratulations page when they reach a score of 100
Tests
- A Post-Test is available for each component study path. There is also a comprehensive Final Test for each subject, covering all the material across all the study paths.
- The initial assessment for each Test is comprehensive and will directly test every single concept from the study path.
- Students can earn a score of 0-100 on this assessment
- After completing the diagnostic, a study path will be generated. This study path will only include concepts the student did not answer correctly on the initial assessment.
- You don't need to use any or all of the Tests; they are provided as optional pre-TSI activities for your students to complete.
Study Path Details
The Test Prep Study paths unlock automatically in order. With this approach, all students will begin in the first study path in the sequence. As students reach the target score for each study path, the next study path will automatically unlock.
Teachers can manually unlock (or lock) study paths early as needed, based on each student's readiness.
This approach mirrors how the Texas College Bridge College Prep program works. This is an excellent option for having students all begin with the first set of concepts and move through the sequence at their own pace. Teachers will still be responsible for monitoring progress in the reports, but will not be responsible for directly controlling student access to each study path.
Test Goals
For each study path in the Study Path goals, there is a corresponding post-test in the Test goal.
All of the post-tests are initially locked: teachers can manually unlock (or lock) any/ all as needed, based on each student's readiness.
